Dr. Richard Martin, 1959-2011

On Wednesday morning, the Active Data Exchange family was shocked and saddened to learn of the loss of our friend and colleague, Richard Martin.

Rich was a student at St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor. He was a trusted advisor to all of us here at Active Data Exchange, and the best friend and husband of our CEO, Susan Yee. He served as chief technology officer and the executive vice president of Active Data Exchange and continued to be an enormous presence even after moving to the Caymans. In between his studies, he continued to guide the company and regularly led discussions and meetings via Skype. Each one of us will miss his leadership, the depth and breadth of his knowledge, and his infectious laugh.

Rich’s loss is felt deeply here at our close-knit company, and our thoughts and prayers are continuously with the Yee and Martin families.
