QA Software Engineer
Description:
For the
QA Software Engineer that is excited
about providing quality software and
scalable enterprise-level business
solutions. Active Data provides cutting-edge
enterprise event management solutions and we
are looking for a candidate who can help
migrate our testing practices towards a more
automated environment. Everyday will present
a new and exciting challenge, where we work
in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans,
procedures and scenarios for unit,
process, function, system integration
and acceptance testing.
- Develops schedules.
- Creates automated test scripts.
- Tests existing applications for
compliance with upgrades.
- Ensures new applications and
software modifications meet requirements
and operate satisfactorily in the system
environment.
- Ensures that the software interfaces
with both new and existing systems.
- May build test environments to
include configuring and installing
appropriate software.
- Writes detailed test plans,
procedures and scenarios.
- Documents the successes and failures
of all executed test procedures.
- Maintains currency on tools,
methodologies, technologies and
programming languages.
- Compose or manage delivery of
Product or Custom Application User
Requirements Documents that clearly
state the core functional goals of the
product or custom application and give
an in-depth explanation of the desired
functionality.
- Work with engineering on a daily
basis to ensure that features are
meeting business needs
Requirements
:
The selected QA Software Engineer will
become the voice of quality assurance as you
perpetuate a formal quality assurance
process while delivering flawless and user
friendly web-based applications for our
customer base. This is an exciting

- Demonstrated experience managing QA
through a rapid product development
lifecycle, including interacting with
product management, engineering and
deployment teams to understand
requirements and develop innovative test
strategies Ability to interpret
requirements and translate them into
precise test cases.
- Ability to detect, report and
explain defects effectively.
- Ability to explain protocols,
technical procedures and processes
clearly and accurately to both technical
and non-technical audiences.
- Strong verbal and written
communication skills as this position
also has direct communication with
clients reporting defects or questions
about the software in a product support
role.
- Ability to plan, set goals and
determine strategies for accomplishing
results; monitors and evaluates progress
toward goals.
- Ability to maintain currency on
tools, methodologies, technologies and
programming languages.
- Ability to write clear, concise and
effective correspondence, test plans,
procedures and scenarios in accordance
with policies.
- Familiarity with the Internet and
Internet applications
- Communicate effectively both in
person and on the phone while
maintaining professionalism
- The QA Test Engineer will work in a
.NET/Microsoft environment gathering
requirements, testing load/stress,
performance, and regression.

Representative
Description:
You will be
responsible for initiating calls to
potential clients and targeted leads
generated through marketing events,
promoting products and services, tracking
and maintaining prospects in our Microsoft CRM
system, and sending product information via
mail or e-mail.
Responsibilities: Initiate calls
to potential clients using a prepared
selling script. Contact targeted leads that
were acquired through marketing events and
mailing lists. Promote products and services
to potential clients. Track and maintain
prospects in CRM system. Work closely with
our Account Executives.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent. 2-4 years experience in enterprise
software or related area. Must be familiar with standard concepts
of a CRM system; Microsoft CRM skills a
plus. Must be able to competently articulate
the company product, and value proposition
to generate awareness in the marketplace.
Must be able to handle objections,
rejections, and know the aspects of cold
calling for prospects. Ability to work independently as well as
a self-starter with little supervision.

of business requirements, product
functionality, quality control, and user
documentation. A Computer Science background
is ideal, but not required. Coursework in

is helpful. This is a full time paid
internship position from June through August.
